Prepaid Euro Credit Card as Gift
3 Answers
I am wishing to buy a prepaid card as a gift for someone living in France.
I have done a search for prepaid euro credit cards and there seems to be a multitude to choose from but can they be purchased in another persons name?
Also, the lady I am buying this for is going to be 90 years old this month, so it would need to be a simple exercise to be able to use the card ie they can be used anywhere?
Any advice, gratefully received.

Someone suggested that a teenager was more likely to use a prepaid card, than a 90 year old but this lady does have a daughter, who I am sure will help her spend the money safely. Doesn't sending money via Western Union involve high charges? Unfortunately I don't have access to the lady's bank account details.
You could buy her a voucher? When I was working in France, my company used to give us £100 worth of vouchers every Xmas. They could be used in loads of different shops, 'grands magasins', sports shops, supermarkets, Eurodisney... Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the provider, but I think they also provided 'tickets restaurants', vouchers to buy your lunch.
