DSI Games

My grandaughter has obtained off the internet a R4,Upgrade Revolution for DS,memory card.She actually has a DSI,but no matter what she does she can't get it to work.Any ideas what she should do to make it work,or should she send it back.Thanks Mick.

Hi, does the R4 card have a small "i" after the R4 or a 1.4 in a yellow splash on it?
If it has neither of these then it's just a bog standard R4 designed for the DS only. An R4i is required for the DSI. All your info is here.

Hi,Daisho it starts WiFi,under that it says R4i.In the yellow splash it says V1.4.3,hope this helps.Mick

I would download the 1.4.3 English kernel from the link I gave, It's a zip file so you need to extract it, then copy the extracted files directly to your SDHC memory card. The games go directly to the card in the same way but make sure they are not zipped or rar-ed. That should work by placing a new selection on your DS menu. If you followed this and it still doesn't work you should consider the fact that it may be a duff card. Is there any error message when you try to use it?

My grandaughter left this note.When I insert my chip and click the game,a white screen comes up and it says error in red and it won't let me play the game.If this info is no good,will see her Friday and get some more.Thanks

That sound like it may be a problem with the memory card to me, it may need reformatting. You also need to check if the R4 card is genuine, you can check this by peeling the hologram sticker off the back and cross referencing the code number from the above site. May I ask which site it was bought from?
