Running IE9 and Microsoft.

Have just upgraded a Bullguard protection package on its renewal.....

Had some issues with m e-mails sticking and that has resolved after another shut-down and start.

But still getting the Error boxes with a message about "scripts still running, do you want to continue - Yes/No

Any ideas from our wonderful gurus.

Many thanks.....

When you are doing what, exactly? Browsing with IE9?
Question Author
yes Al, on browsing.....thanks....
Have you tried this in the settings .. ?

Check 'Disable script debugging'

Next (and better fix for the script problem in IE9) is a registry tweak (adding an entry in IE control)
I keep getting something similar when using IE, especially when on Facebook. A note keeps saying a script is running that will slow my computer down if not disabled. Another asks if I want to see the secure data or not. Would you have any suggestions for these please albags?
Hi ..
The main problem is the damn notification .. rather than the script running.

firstly look at above and apply the setting (if not applied before)

then reboot browser and continue.
Come back if no good and I'll post next stage.

thanks Al - we shall see if it works.......amazing though, upgrade the security programme and freak out.....though the settings seemed to have not not changed, anyway I have a done a reset, DTC........
Many Thanks albags, I've done that now too and it seems to have helped. Hugs!
Great.
I have a better mod .. but you have to go in Registry and add a new entry. Easy really .. disturbing for some others! : )
Albags, please can you help? I did what you suggested and it seemed to help for a day, but the messages are back again. In addition to the one mentioned above, I am now also getting this while on AB:

Webpage error details

Any further help would be much appreciated. x
Hi
That's bad code on this site. Likely you don't get a problem anywhere else?
You on IE9?
Try this Cara ..

IE/Tools/Internet Options/Security/Internet Zone .. look for Scripting section ..
Under 'Active Scripting' select disable ..
and try it out on this site to see if that particular problem is gone. You may NOT be able to post because submit button will not work .. you will have to try it out.

You can reverse the setting : ) (other tasks in Browser will be affected by this .. often it will pop up a message to tell you ..)
Yes .. the button runs scripts .. but you should try what you can : )
Thanks, I'll try that. x
