I've had two dvd's on separate dates now from love film which have stopped playing on my dvd player( Panasonic dmp 8060 blu-ray) its got the latest updates on.
both dvds at some point have badly pixilated badly and stopped, no further playing but there's not even the slightest mark on either dvd which love film immediately resent a replacement
i reloaded these dvds but still stopped in the same time frame (different for both dvds in question)
are there some badly manufactured dvd movies that get through ??

No .. it must be damaged .. maybe at the thin inner burned area .. that area hold the references for the management of the disc menus, etc.
However, some DVD players' handling of the chapter/track data is not as good as others. The disc may well play ok in another player.
