Where can I buy a cheap telly that you just plug in and watch - can't be with all these digibits and scart leads and stuff just want to plug in and watch. Only need a cheap small one.

Can't help but I so agree with you.
CHARITY SHOP?
you will need freeview so you cannot avoid that digibit, you will need a scart as well if you want to plug in a video recorder.

will you be plugging anything into it like a games console?
There`s loads of TV`s about in 2nd hand shops.
here is a useful guide to help you decide:

Mr O bought a new tv recently - it has every bell and whistle invented.
I still dont know how to switch it on
you'll need a digital aerial with a decent signal. all you'll need then* is a plug socket and a lead to connect the aerial to the tv, then you buy a cheap as chips one with freeview built in and bobs your uncle; bbc, itv, c4, c5, some rude late night stuff that nobody watches + 37 shopping channels.

* and a current valid tv licence of course.
Bought a 19'' Goodmans flatscreen with Freeview (for the Kitchen) not long ago from Comet for about £100, been good, simple, no probs.
I suggest you look in whichever supermarket you use. They have sales at the moment and you can buy a small plug and play TV and get your loyalty points while you're at it.

You will not need anything complicated unless you want to record stuff.
PS We didn't need a digital aerial, our 15 year old one worked fine.

Don't want to record, play games, DVDs or Videos - just want to watch the bloody telly! Don't know anything technical so just want to be able to plug it in. Don't even want hundreds of channels - I was quite happy with BBC ITV and Channel 4. Baldric was the Goodmans one a plug and play?
Big Asdas tend to have some good cheap simple stuff, I used to get stuff from there when I was doing some property management.
asda has a 15.6 tv on just now for £50 seen them today
I was just going to post what futritcat has posted they had them in my ASDA
Question Author
Saw them online after someone suggested Asda - sounds a good deal.
