SD card

Hi
I have a Samsung phone and I have lots of photos I can't download (I have done it before with this phone)
I bought a cardreader to try and fix problem but problem is with the card - I keep getting asked if I want to format it and I don't if it means losing my photos...what should I do please??

If you connect your phone to a computer then your computer should see your phones sd card as a an external hard drive

wait - do you mean when you put your sd card into the computer windows says it needs to format the card first?

i get something similar all the time ive got an external hard drive and about 4 sd cards everytime i put it in it comes up with some stupid message - i dont click ANYTHING... apart from the little x in the corner of the box - message goes away, and bingo, my card or external HD comes up no problem and i can do whatever i want

no idea why it happened to me in the first place though... stupid microsoft windows!

Thanks, it seems to be a problem with the SD card I really don't understand it. My partner has spent ages this morning on it and he normally knows what he is talking about too but still nothing.
