Can I reformat the hard drive on my Virgin+ box ?

The hard drive on my Virgin+ box always seems to fill up really quickly. Can't think about recording Hi Def channels as they just take up too much space so have been clearing all my recordings so it's empty to reformat it. Down to the last couple of hours worth now. Sure I've seen it as that gave me the idea, but can't see any options on the menu to reformat.
