As I understand it seeding is a peer-to-peer system reference whereby you allow others to copy from your PC. If I am correct then of course the more you seed the more of your PC resource is going to be available.
Depending on what client you use (but most) connections within a swarm are typically prioritised according to availability. If you don't seed you will be deemed low priority resulting in a slow download. As I understand the protocols anyway....
Err ..... when I said "going to be available" of course I meant "going to be available for others to use, and so potentially unavailable to you". That said if you don't seed you may not be allowed to leech.
Leeching is frowned upon, not in the spirit of sharing. If you don't enter into the whole thing then the system will break down. Leechers are quite rightly penalised in my opinion.
i dont mind seeding at all - i havent said i dont want to! - but only AFTER ive downloaded, IF its going to make the downloads very slow, and i have to wait hours for them...
ill leave them as is then i suppose...seems like it makes no difference
yeh you're right daffy...its just too much trouble for me to cope with... i'm in utter hysterics and turmoil here with the stress....thanks for helping me see the error of my ways...i'm gonna go straight from now on...honest
I have being known to download stuff, which hasn't being strictly legal, but if the artists and all those involved are worthy I will go and buy them if its trash why waste my coin!
In my opinion if you want something so badly you really have to own it, pay for it and give the artist/author/star/production team and all their few quid.
