Anyone had trouble with Tuning Setup on this DVD? I can get it to store all 5 terrestrial channels using the aerial cable but it won't even 'see' any stations when connected by scart to my NTL (pace) box. I've tried all permutations of scart lead connections but without result. It's absolutely no use like this as the Video+ and Scheduled recording facilities don't work without stored stations!!

If the recorder doesn't have the option to say that all channels are on AV1 (or whatever the scart is connected to) then every time you use videoplus to schedule a programme you need to change the channel it comes up with (BBC1 say) to AV1. Your problem will then be making sure that the NTL box is on the right channel at the right time.
Thank you Fitzer. I tried this and, so long as I start the recording manually with the TV tuned into the correct station, everything is fine. However, to schedule a recording when away from the machine it needs to have been tuned in to the available stations so that the required one can be selected when setting the timer. If no stations are available the timer and/or videoplus cannot be set.
A search of dvd.reviewer.co.uk/forums, after I posted this question, revealed many others are having similar problems and that the Tevion helpline has been innundated. Many thanks again for your help Fitzer but I think its time for me to return the machine. Best regards 1alan.
