ipad2 and itunes music

Could someone please help me, somehow I find myself in the itunes store and cannot see how I can get back to my own music on the ipad. If someone could tell me how I would be most grateful. Also, originally when I first went onto my itunes music downloaded from my imac, there was only the downloads showing from Apple and not my entire music library which I know I downloaded. How do I find this?
