i could'nt find a phone no.for ss,and i havent got a phone book,tried to google it but got know where.

Phone your local council Kate, they might be able to help.
In my neck of the woods, they are in the same building.

Mondays and Fridays are bad days to phone the council. Also anytime between 12 and 2 aren't usually that good either. I'd suggest 9am onwards.
