For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Open the picture in a graphics programme (even Paint will do). Click Save As... on the File menu. When you've given your file a name, directly underneath should be a box where you can change the "file type". Somewhere on that list, it will give you the option of saving the file as a .JPG or a .JPEG. Select it and click Save.
"Irfanview" will do this for lots of files at once to save you doing it all manually one at a time.
File > Batch Conversion/Rename
then find the files to convert, set the options (output file type, filename etc.) and haway!
I previously had a digital camera that would save all the images in a wonky file format so this was perfect for converting them to jpegs onto my PC.

A new day has dawned, I have, against all previous sworn intentions, actually purchased shareware software from the creator instead of constantly trying to warp it into a free copy. I can't believe how nice it is. The 'spotlight' and other lighting features are brill and fit my ebay needs purfect.
