Number pad keys not working

The number keys on the number pad of my Acer Aspire 5742 laptop have suddenly stopped working. I haven't knowingly done anything that may have disabled them but it's quite possible that I might have clicked on something in error. Can anyone suggest a solution please? Thanks.

I assume you have the Num lock on? (usually indicated by a light on the keyboard)

Many thanks Mark - you've solved the problem! I must have pressed the number lock key by mistake.

Thanks but I am Steve. Glad you got it sorted though. Num lock on some laptops can be hard to spot at times.
