Is there is a way I can get the current day, date and time permanently showing on my computer desktop?
I know there's a button on the task-bar that I can click to see the time and date, but is there a way to have the info showing permanently on my screen, as soon as I log on, without having to click on the task-bar button?
If you have windows 7 or Vista you can download a desktop gadget with the time and date on it. It is in the personalise option when right clicking on an empty part of your desktop.
Thanks Daffy. My computer is quite old. I've just tried right-clicking on the desktop with no success - options came up but not a relevant one. Thanks anyway.
If you right-click on the taskbar and then untick "Lock the taskbar", you can then drag the taskbar up to occupy more space. This will increase the date/time display area and you should get day, date and time shown permanently. It's not ideal, but it's a built-in solution that works.
