I receive occasionally some jokes from my brothers which I would like to forward to some friends. My problem is that I wish to erase the name of the senders as they do not want their e-mail addresses to be sent to people they do not know.Is there an easy way ( I am a techno - novice ! ) to do this ?

Several things.

Firstly, you don't say what email software you use.

Secondly, you talk of "senders" - there can be only one sender of an email.

That said, you should simply be able to forward the email and remove any text that you don't want included with it.

thank you MarkRae for being so quick....Here goes...I am afraid I do not know which e-mail software I use...could it be outlook....how can I find out ?

when I receive an e-mail from my brothers, it generally looks like this :

sender : (my brother's e-mail address )

from : AB (original sender )
forwarded to : X, Y, Z ( all with e-mail addresses)

If I forward the message on, all e-mail addresses ( including my brother's ) show on the message....

I would like to be able to send the message on, having deleted all e-mail addresses bar mine, of course.

Is that possible ?
It is. Just do as I suggested, and delete any text you don't want to forward.

Bear in mind, though, that this sort of spam is the reason that the Internet is so slow and that, with very few exceptions, these "funnies" never are...

thank you MarkRae......Got it !!!!!many, many thanks
The way I do it is to click on 'forward'. highlight address/es you want to delete, click delete. Click on 'to', select who you want to send it to, then put their name/s in the 'Bcc' section. It then appears as 'undisclosed recipient' on each email you send - eg if you were forwardng it to say 6 people, each of them would not see the email address of the other five people. Good luck.
sasskins..that's exactly what I do
If that concerned about passing other people's e-mail addresses around, you may wish to enter the names of those you send to into the BCC: box rather than the Send: box.
Use the Snipping Tool to "cut out" the part of the email that you want to keep. Give the "snip" a title, and it will be sent to your Photo Gallery. You can then send it as an attachment.
Are you able to highlight the are you wish to include then cut & paste on a new email form ?
Sorry should read " area "
