Laptop screen freezing.

For about two weeks my laptop has frozen at least once a day,It goes to a multi coloured screen though with no error message and I can't see the cursor.I manually turn it off then on again and it seems ok until the next day.Is this a serious problem or is there something I can do myself?

↑ terrible advice, stay away from all registry cleaners, they are at best a wast of time, at worst dangerous.
