email sending rubbish to friends

my yahoo account is sending out loads of e mails to almost all my contacts. I keep getting failure delivery notices even though I have actually sent nothing. There must be a virus, gremlin whatever in the works, any help in stopping these e mails would be appreciated. Thanks.

Check your PC for virus/malware/etc. It may have caught something that is obeying commands to send e-mail stuff out.

And change your yahoo password.
