What is the best programme for Computer Aided Design?
2 Answers
Sorry if this question has been asked before but would really like to know what the best programme for C.A.D. is. Would like to design some building and also swimming pools but do not have the artistic skills to do this. It would make the all difference if I could have a programme to help me do this.
Can anyone recommend one to download from the Internet or do I have to buy one outright?
Thanks in advance for any replies.

AutoCad is the 'industry standard' program, which most professional s use. The £4,830 price tag might put you off though!
This what mere paupers use!

I use TurboCAD. Personally I found it was superior to AutoCAD which seemed to be clumsy bloatware stuck with maintaining compatibility with a primitive foundation.
However my experience was in 1998 though TurboCAD 5 still does anything I want to this day.
No matter what programm you use you need to realise that designing in 3D CAD is a huge learning curve and not a skill one learns in a casual encounter.
