Spybot

I am using Superantispyware, Malwarebytes, & Spybot Search & Destroy & my system is Windows 7. I use these weekly to keep my P/C clear. I am ok with the first 2 which find & remove quite a lot of threats but I'm having probs with Spybot which finds stuff to be removed & despite reading the help page I am finding it difficult to understand how to remove threats that ha ve been detected. Can someone please help.

Bit excessive running all 3 if you ask me.

Anyhow, tick the "threats" you want removed and click the fix selected problems button.

Thanks Chuck. The reason that I am running the 3 is because my P/C packed up altogether a couple of months ago & I had to take it to a Techie guy who found over 2000 naughties & cured it for me, he reckons he always uses the 3 mentioned & he left them on my machine with the advice that I update & run all 3 every week. Are you saying Chuck that I don't really need all 3 ?.

Well as they run and finish rather than stay in monitoring, then it's not a problem running all 3, as the resource is returned when they finish. But it's just a bit of an overkill. Still better safe than sorry eh ? Just as long as there are no false positives ;-)

For what it is worth I only use Malwarebytes now. Along with Norton Internet Security it has managed to keep me safe for years.

It's certainly not going to hurt running them all (apart from the time it takes) but I would say it's overkill too.

Decent anti virus software and a scan with malwarebytes every week or so should be plenty.

Thanks, I don't think I'll bother with Spybot as I am running Kaspersky as well.
