How do I display percentages in Excel cells to 4 decimal places UNLESS they are 100% where I want to suppress the decimal places?

Click on the FORMAT tab, then on CELLS. Now click on CUSTOM. Click inside the box labelled type: and enter the following:-

[=1]000%;#0000%

and click OK.

Just apply that format to the cells and away you go.

Hung6- This sets all cells to 100% whatever their content. I need a formula that will only drop the decimal places if the content =100.

This seems to work but if the %age is not =100 AND the numbers after the decimal point are = to 00 then it still displays them... [>=1]0%;[<0.05]0.000%;0.00%

I.e 87.65% displays correctly as 87.65% , 100.00% displays correctly as 100% but 87.00 displays as 87.00%.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated
