Dongles

I shall be moving home soon, and for a short period (4 - 6 weeks) we shall not have a landline, so I shall not be able to use my wifi laptop.
I don't know much about dongles, but is it possible to get one on a short term basis, and will it enable me to connect to the internet?

Tmobile do a pay as you go, not sure how much the dongle cost though.

Yes. I got one from Vodaphone when my husband was in hosiptal and needed his laptop.

Yes, you can sign up for three months with some companies but beware the notification period of your intention to cancel, which is usually a month. Get the date wrong and you'll end up paying for another month.

Sorry yes you will be able to conect to the internet. The stick just goes into a usb.

They're about £15 - £17.

Check the 3G coverage for each network for the location you plan on using the dongle and take that into account when looking for one.

Thanks chuck for the information. I find that the network I am on at the moment, has no coverage at the new address, so it looks like changes all round.

Dongles is a small device able to be connected to and used with a computer, mostly/usually to allow access to wireless broadband or use of protected software.
