What does it mean when the error message "winMgmt.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows" keeps popping up every 30 seconds?

Have seen an answer for this recently try this:

go to the directory

C:\WINNT\system32\wbem\Repository

and find a file named: $WinMgmt.CFG$

DELETE IT or rename it to something else 

Power off and back on the machine. you should get the message once more, wait for the OK button and click it

If for some reaspon WinMgmt.exe doesn't automatically start you can double-click it at:

C:\WINNT\system32\wbem\winmgmt.exe
