Via Jeremy Vine on twitter I just came across the following.

In short, it's a blog by someone who has spotted some grotesque posts on twitter by two lads in relation to the footballer that collapsed today.

We know there are trolls who hide behind false identities and post vile comments online but these lads are posting under their true identities and seem to provide ample information on their personal and professional lives, yet they don't seem to see that these things might have offend people nor apparently care what detremental affect this could have on their future. Are they just naive little boys who think they are being funny or are they simply showing their true colours.

I'll add a link below but there is some pretty offensive content in there so don't click if you don't want to read the full details.

Offensive and puerile
I haven't watched the link and I did not see the actual event
These instances will always give an opportunity to those who are devoid of compassion to make themselves known.
People air their insecurities online and anonymously, these people are more often than not lonely, or extremely unhappy and miserable with their own lives. Sad but true. As the saying goes 'misery loves company'.

I simply don't understand why you would share those sort of thoughts with the world, even if that's what you genuinely think, just don't say anything.

These people were not anonymous popple, but I should think they will become increasingly miserable with their names being plastered over the Internet for the next few days.
I don't know if this Liam Stacey is a real person, but whoever wrote that is a mean spirited piece of ****.
I don't think the poor footballer comes into the mix - the cretins are simply trying to outdo each other with the offensive comments

He appears to be very real and indeed the rugby team he was a proud member of have been quick to issue a statement saying his views are nothing to do with them.

He has deleted his twitter account now but those comments will be lurking on the internet to haunt him forever. Utterly moronic.
It's sheer idiocy, however I will say that there is a trend in some younger lads these days to say appalling things to try to be as offensive as physically possible- I know a very nice lad who I've known since he was knee high who engages in this kind of thing- he's not a bad kid, doesn't genuinely feel like this at all but it's something he and his mates engage in, and I've no idea why, just seems to be a ridiculous trend in some groups at the moment. As soon as they realise that most of the rest of the world don't find them as hilarious as their small clique do, wake up and grow up a bit doubtless it'll stop.
there are some disgusting creatures in this world, i hope they rot they are scum.
That's like reading SAB.
Think about that fellow a few weeks back who was outed as a Facebook troll - when interviewed on TV, he said he didn't give a fig about the people whose lives he was wrecking with his cruel comments.
you must read sab to say that ummmm
Yes I do Mick. You should be ashamed of yourself!!

'cavernguy' for anyone who cares to look!
I read SAB, mickrog.....(and a lot more besides, LoL) and it's just like that!!

I was wondering if Liam Stacey has any relatives in the 'Barking area'? LoL
You never know, ummmm.... there are some bored people out there :-)
Question Author
I occasionally read SAB in moments of utter boredom though I'm yet to feel the desire to participate.

But yes Ummmm, some of the comments I read on there this morning were not too dissimilar from those in the link above. I wonder if it makes it better or worse that those in my link used their true identities.
not ashamed one bit......feel free to look ....but be aware some of the less nice comments are really the cleaner than thou folk from here hiding behind names.....
ouch there is some really nasty stuff on SAB :(
The people on sab are not as anon as they might think!

They should bare that in mind before they hurl such disgusting abuse.
Question Author
Anywho, I'm sort of keen to hear people's thoughts without this being deleted so maybe the less talk of SAB the better. Keep it over there :)
