Bios

Switched laptop on and a strange screen came up with Bios set up on it. What is this? Had difficulty doing anything on screen, curser would only act on an advancing timer. I had to escape to get off it. Had laptop on earlier and didn't get it then. I have a feeling I might have deleted something like Bios the other day. Can anyone help please.

Turn laptop off by holding power button down until screen goes black. Remove power lead and battery, press power button and hold for 20 seconds. Replace battery and reconnect power lead. Turn laptop back on and it should load ok.

I doubt you have deleted the BIOS!

All you done is pressed the key to enter the bios when you turned the computer on. the BIOS is the basic part of the computer that controls how it works (it's not as complicated as it sounds)....

If it happens again just press the power button again to turn it off and then turn it on again, if there is nothing wrong you don't need to worry about the BIOS.
