I am aware that keyloggers and such like exist.

Does using LastPass or similar programs that store the information and fill the boxes for you defeat keyloggers?

They would assuming the logger wasn't active when you first entered the information.

Although key loggers are not exactly common in home based computers (especially not hardware loggers!)

I store my passwords in a text document, which I set up while not connected to the internet, and then I copy and paste them from there to log onto sites to defeat keyloggers.
