I get a box saying LVComSWnd is not responding, when I try to close down my Logitek Webcam when it has frozen and is non-responsive.  When I get this box it's impossible to turn the PC off except by the on/off button on the tower.  When I switch it back on I sometimes get a message saying the PC has recovered from a serious error and do  I want to reset the active desktop. I run Windows XP.

Anyway, my question is this:  I have Googled LVComSWnd and found several references to it being a known problem with the Logitek Webcam, but there are so many solutions to the problem I just don't know which one is the right one!

I'm no PC expert and don't like to delve too far into its workings.  Could anyone offer any advice as to what I should do, please?

Thank you.

Thanks Ralph.  That's the result I spotted and thought might be the one to go for.  Sadly, it isn't the answer for me.  I have since downloaded updated software from Logitech for my particular webcam, so I will give that a try and see what happens.

I had considered Response 1 on that same link, but I'm not brave enough!

Thank you again.  If you or anyone else has any other suggestions I'd be most grateful!
