What's the best way to set up a laptop for in car GPS? There are some cheap USB GPS units on the web, are they just garbage? Thanks.

The quickest way that springs to mind would be to get a Garmin Etrex and connect it to the serial port of your laptop (assuming it has one) which could then feed your coordinates to something like Microsoft Autoroute. I don't think it would tell you to turn left when you're supposed to, but it would only cost in the region of �120 buying everything from new (excluding laptop of course)
