please can anyone help? my fuji camera is saying "card protected" on viewing screen and will not allow me to take any pictures!! thank you

What sort of card is it ?

If it is an SD card, check that you have not accidentally slid the tiny switch on the side of the card to the 'lock' position.

I would have thought "card protected" would give you a bit of a hint what the problem was.
