I've lost my 'favourites' bar
6 Answers
I have to admit I've been slack and had to allow 60 updates on my laptop. But since then the top of the screen has changed. I used to have a bar across the top showing my favourites, quick access to AB and various other links. Is there any chance of getting it back? I have Google which seems to be taking over my life.

If you wish ot have your favourites permanently displayed click the star, which has a small icon in thee top-left corner of the drop-down area, this clips your favourites, etc to the left-hand side of the screen, and holds them open.
This would bring your favourites back onto your screen, but unfortunately, not where you expect them, I'd go back to your previous browser if you don't want the new browser - just uninstall the new browser, & re-install the original.
Also, if you want to close the dreaded Google toolbar, then right-click on the bottom of the screen, select the toolbars line in the menu, and uncheck the google toolbar.

Thank you so much, I didn't realise it was IE9, I just allowed the updates. Haven't a clue what happened. You are correct nibble I have the three icons at the top right of my screen. The star shows my favourites. Is IE9 supposed to be an improvement or not? Not sure if it's worth uninstalling back to IE8.
