I am currently using Word 2010 (student and home edition) and I like using it for letters etc.

Can I add Publisher on to this? Is it easy to do? Is it cheap or expensive?

I would also like to have photoshop (not Gimp - was too complicated for me to understand) or something like it. Must be user/idiot friendly.

All assistance is appreciated

Is that just the book telling me how to use Publisher?

I have Word 2010 installed on my Macbook - I might go and see whether there is Publisher on it or not.

Thanks Mark

If only you'd mentioned that in the first place! There is no Publisher for Mac...

I have a PC and a MacBook. My PC is the one that I use most. The Mac is just my back-up/spare computer.

My brother has commented on my ability to speak in riddles - he is the IT genius in the family. Alas he is off on his holiday with his family. He gets a bit grumpy and snarly with me sometimes, can't think why.

I'm back!

So can I just purchase/download the Publisher stuff? I want/need it for my PC.
Here's a thought - how about specifying what software you need, and which platform you need to run it on...?

You actually sound like my brother - not sure if that is a compliment of not (or should that be complement?) ;-)

I want to be able to make up posters for our charity shop and make them as 'image' files or 'jpeg' files. I only have MS Office for students - 2010 version.

I like the improved Office (went from 2003 to 2010) so something easy to use like that would be great. I have used Publisher in the past and can't remember it being too difficult to use.

There is so much out there for me to buy and some of it is pretty expensive.

Once again: "how about specifying what software you need, and which platform you need to run it on...?"

Platform - Windows 7.

Not sure about the specifying software bit though - sorry!

I better get back to bed. Be back much, much later.

Thanks
