disconecting from internet

I used to have a little computer icon at bottom toolbar of my computer which I used to disconnect if I wanted to go ofline it seems to have disappeared how do I get it back or disconnect another way without turning of computer I know this is an easy question for some Thank You All

Open Network Connections

Under LAN or High-Speed Internet, click the network connection to be displayed on the taskbar. Then, under Tasks, click Change settings of this connection.

On the General tab, click the Show icon in taskbar notification area when connected check box.

To open Network Connections, click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections.

Internet Connection Sharing, Internet Connection Firewall, Discovery and Control, and Network Bridge are not available on Windows XP 64-Bit Edition.

If a network connection icon is displayed in the notification area on the taskbar, you can access basic connection and statistical information by pointing to the icon with the mouse pointer.

If the Show icon in taskbar notification area when connected check box is selected for the shared Internet connection, an icon for the shared Internet connection appears in the notification area on the taskbar each time that connection is enabled. When the shared Internet connection is disabled, the icon disappears from the notification area.
