I have a UMC TV/DVD combi, model number L22/14B-GB-TCD-UK. The remote doesn't seem to have a "menu" button, which I am told need for a retune. What do I do?

I realise that this is not the original remote but it does show a menu button.
Does yours not have the menu button in this position?

Slightly different model but maybe same remote?

P5 refers to tuning.
If you positively do Not have a 'Menu' button then try pumping in 8888. It does bring-up the menu on some UMCs.

Ron.
The TV or Remote (or both) should have a 'Set Up' Button, if not a Menu Button for Re-Tuning ! Take a closer look at the Remote and TV....

No, mine does not have the menu button in that position. in fact, this replacement remote bears little resemblance to the one i have. but the obvious answer is for me to buy this replacement, and i thank you for your help.
Question Author
redman41, neither the tv nor the remote has a set-up button. this all seems very odd.
Question Author
vivandorron, it won't let me type 8888. just 888. but tks for the suggestion.
How did you Tune it in the first place when you first purchased or acquired it ??
There has to be a Tuning Button somewhere
Unplug from mains for half an hour - maybe it will do an auto-retune ?
Is it the original remote for the set or have you bought a generic replacement type?
Question Author
it is the original remote. and yes, i will forthwith unplug from mains and go make a cup of tea. thank you all.

Folks, I have found the answer. There IS a menu button on the remote but it says "LCD Menu". This normally is used for setting brightness, contrast etc etc. On its own, it does not retune. But if you hit this button and then 8888, presto!!! It retunes. I must have done this when I bought the tv but that was some goodly time ago. And I have never come across any other brand of tv that tunes in this way. In view of all the suggestions posted, I felt I should let y'all know. And thank you again.
