WAYN emails

anyone else getting loads of these coming through from the WAYN website saying old friends want to get in touch?

i went to there website but was put off when during registration they not only wanted your full hotmail address but they expected u to give them the password for it too! at that point i ran away very fast!

they want your password so they can picjk all your contacts email addresses and send them the same email you have - I agree its a little intrusive - and on top of that its not a very good way to keep in contact with people - its simply a ploy to harvest email addresses i feel

I had 2 e-mails from WAYN (Where Are You Now) saying my ex-wife wanted to contact me. I know she will join any rubbish.. I told her repeatedly when she was here, but she wouldn't listen and my pc kept being infected with searchbars, spyware, etc.

I filled in the application, and like yourself was not willing to fill in my hotmail username & password.. maybe it is to sign into msn messenger, but I don't trust these people. Apart from that, I believed my ex wanted me to use wayn so she could spy on me, as I have her blocked on my messengers.

even if u sign up without giving the address there isnt anything u can do then, there is no website as such and it just tells u that there isnt anyone online at all
