PC EXTERNAL DRIVE

I've got a Store and Save external drive. I'm trying to delete the old backup info on it from my old pc which is XP. My new pc is Windows 7 so have had to attach it to my old pc to clean it. I've managed to clear everying but 3 files - sys 32, common files and adobe. Have tried every clean up programme on the pc without success. Can anyone help on this one please.

Assuming you no longer need anything saved on it, can't you simply format it...?

Thanks for the response, have been mucking ardound with it most of the day. Never thought of formatting it but it's done the trick. Thanks again. Answerbank is great. Have installed Revo too - good programme.
