What has happenned to software design these days, it seems that all software is set up to be as annoying as possible. Whenever I download a new release of something all the defaults seem to be set to the most stupidly annoying settings that no one in their right mind would use. Is there some sort of software mafia taking over the world with it's sh1te? sorry rant over!

OK on outlook, the default warning time for an appointment is 18 hours! Out of all the options how would you arrive at 18 hours to be the default?

Everytime I get a new release of Firefox all my defaults have been changed, there is no task bar no multitab, everything I use has reverted to some sort of unusable mess that I have to spend half an hour trying to get it back as it was.
That shouldn't happen with Firefox. It uses my profile when it updates.
As hc4361 says, Firefox normally keeps all your profile settings when you upgrade. Sounds like a fault with your setup/profile.

Can't comment on Outlook, as I never use it.
The default reminder time in outlook is 15min.
