Can you help me remember the name of an old game show?

This is driving me crazy since it doesn't appear to be googlable.
What I remember is this:
The logo of the show was the letter M with a bolt of lightning going through it.
One part of the show involved a child being asked to sit on a chair; but when he did, he was told it was bad and now needed to answer several questions correctly before a spider (a computer graphic of one, at least) reached him on his chair (which again was on the graphic). The biggest memory I have of this show, though, is a room with a light table in it. There were many silhouettes drawn on its surface. Hidden in the room were lots of gold objects, and the idea was to find as many as you could in a certain time period and place them on the correct silhouette. One of the easiest to find was an eagle statue, but the silhouette was of the shape of its base - not so easy. I'm fairly sure there was an apple as well, one of the smaller objects. Ringing any bells? I'm certain I did not dream this, but it must have been a program on TV over 20, maybe even over 25 years ago. Help from anyone would be great.

I was wondering if the one I was thinking of was an early incarnation of TimeBusters, but where would the M come into it? I don't think it was that.
If it helps, the chair I mentioned in the question was set on a wooden patio in what might have been a wild western setting. I think the character with him at the time, the one who was inviting the contestant to sit there, was a Dwarf. (Not a diminuitive person, an actual fantasy-land dwarf). It ain't Knightmare though, I know that one extremely well. Any other suggestions anyone?
