microwave popcorn

Can microwave popcorn ruin a microwave oven???? Mine just gave up the ghost half way through popping.

(on a side note, popcorn was the first thing to ever be cooked by microwave)

no but if you get the timing and power wrong it catches fire done that a couple of times

Thanks to both of you...it's working again, just konked out for a while, don't know why.....could it be because it was lo fat popcorn and too dense?????

doubt it but your microwave might be on its way out anyway..
