"Sob!!" No-one has answered my question in Technology

and I told my son-in-law you lot were infallible and someone could ALWAYS answer my questions. So hope you don't mind me repeating it here in the hope there is someone who knows. Here it is:-

Can anyone tell me how I can get YouTube to work properly on my new tablet ONDA VI 40?

Strictly speaking, it is my son-in-law's but we are all playing with it. Talk about a child with a new toy!! It is fantastic, whatever will they think of next?

according to a search the onda v1 will not support flash and will not play youtube videos

What do you mean by work properly?

I know on my iPad I can't watch lots of videos on youtube because some are uploaded with restrictions to watch them on mobile devices.

make sure you have upgraded the firmware in case they have tried to resolve the issue

Evian you can't watch many you tube videos an iPad because it also doesn't support flash and many videos and other things require flash to play.

But as nearly Apple user tells me it doesn't have flash because Apple (as they always do apparently) have something better, don't know what that is, as I ave never owned anything by Apple

Hi Dave,

That's what someone told me on here. I also read that on another website.

I know about the flashplayer. It's a pain the arse. So many websites use it and as far as I can tell, Apple haven't come up with anything that makes it viewable (again, I asked on here a while ago). They might have their own version of it but that's only good for sites that actually use it.

Ed - thanks for your reply. Apparently the Android marketplace is installed but the official YouTube app does not appear on it. Any suggestions?

If it doesn't support Flash there is nothing you can do to make it show YouTube videos.

Seems daft because my smartphone plays them.
