In a local Brighton paper, it is reported today that there have been several laptops stolen from houses by burglars.
The police recommend that laptops and other valuable items be marked with an ultra violet pen to show your postcode and house number so that if the stolen items are recovered they can be returned to you.
These pens are available for under £2 on the Internet.

Re my post at 12.49 today, it is, of course, necessary to write the full address on your valuable items.
The Brighton police informed me by phone today that they will give UV pens free of charge to residents in their area.
