I have a samsung N110 laptop and the screen is dark. In Currys they showed me how to press FN and the arrow up to brighten it, but it doesn't work now, is there any other way that I can make the screen brighter? Thank you in advance.

It is windows xp if that is any help.
If you right-click in a blank area of desktop you may find an option available about the display setting.
On my Acer it's Fn and arrow across not arrow up. Try that.

Nothing doing there, takes me to control panel display but no brightness that I can see, will keep trying, thank you.

Fn and arrow across is sound, and that's not working either!
Try Fn and then F4
Mine is just F2 to dim and F3 to brighten. No other buttons.

I've Googled this. It may help. It's talking about something called Easy Display manager. You may understand it more having the laptop infront of you.
