Washer Dryer and High Water Bill!
8 Answers
Ok here is my problem. I have lived in my house for 7 years and when I brought the house I brought everything new, including my washer dryer. Anyway, since I have lived there my water bill has rose every year and I now pay £90 a month for my water. I got in touch with the company who said I use enough water for a family of 10, (there's just 3 of us). They said there might be a leak so keep an eye on the readings etc. So last week I wrote down the reading on the meter before I went to work and I made sure that there was no water running and nothing was turned on. When I came home the reading was the same. Then I put a few bits in the dryer and noticed the water meter went up for the whole time the dryer was on. I've got a feeling this might be the cause of my high water bill but why. Why would a drying cycle (even on a washer/dryer) use water? If it is a fault with the machine, what should i do? Any help appreciated please.
