not responding

i normally use firefox on internet ,but after a few minutes it freezes and says not responding,i close it and it will say send error report, can anyone explain or help as i prefer f.fox as apossed to IE or chrome, any help or advise appreciated thks

The vast majority of Firefox problems can be simply solved with an 'on top' installation. (i.e. install Firefox again, WITHOUT uninstalling it first). You'll retain all of your bookmarks and personal settings, so it's well worth a try.

i@ve tried reinstalling it but deleted it first, i'll try that thks

Probably a plug in causing the crashes.

Show the menu bar by right clicking near the top of the browser, then go Tools>Options>General tab>Manage Addons button>Extensions.

Disable everything, then bring them back one at a time, and see if you have any luck. Leave any ad based tool bars etc disabled.
