Is there a quick way of tracing a death certificate? My grandfather must have been born in the late C19, my late mother being born in 1913, but disappeared from her life some time in the early 1920s and I have no information of his whereabouts thereafter. He was last seen by her, by chance, in Cambridge, where the family lived. He evidently left the family and none of them ever spoke of him, which hasn't helped.

what was his name and anything else you know about him will probably locate a death/marriage/birth registration entry but then you would have to order a copy birth certificate yourself.
