Today, Firefox 15 has been launched and, as far as I can make-out, it appears to be fully compatible with AB. No problems of which I am aware.

If you feel that you may not be up-to-date and would wish to be, then check by opening 'FF Help' and then click 'About Firefox'....It should then be possible to up-date from there; if it hasn't already been downloaded automatically into your computer.

... of course, if it's like all the other recent updates, it will probably break most of your add-ons, and be even slower to load than the previous version, but never mind. Maybe you should take the opportunity to switch to Chrome.
I've been using FF15 beta for a while - very clean, very quick, no compatibility problems that I've found.
I would previously have agreed Rojash - but actually they seem to be getting it together again at last.

sunny-dave.....I concur with your views about FF.

I tested FF Beta 15 in my Laptop and had no problems. I must now update to Beta 16 whilst I continue using FF15 in My Desktop, on which I am posting at present.

PS....I also have Internet Explorer 9 (Rubbish) and Google Chrome which I dislike.

Thanks for that. I get advised about 2 weeks after updates are first available and can choose to update or not. I shall keep watching for more opinions.

Howard...I know exactly what you mean about late arrival of updates. Hence the reason for my checking on a weekly basis to see if all is up to date. When 14 was released there was something amiss and soon after a 'patch' was inserted to make it 14.0.1

Perhaps you already know that you can check to see how your Comp is programmed for receiving updates:-
Click open FF 'Tools' then 'Options' followed by 'Advanced'

Just given FF15 a try.
Time to open and fully render page from bookmark: FF15 / Chrome:
AB: 7 Secs / less then 1 sec.
Amazon 9 Secs / 1 sec.
Guardian 4 Secs / 1 Sec
Something wrong somewhere then rojash - all three sites open so quickly I can't actually time them (in FF15 or the latest Chrome).

Correction - actually the Graun is very image heavy today and a bit slower than usual - takes the same couple of seconds in Chrome or FF15

rojash....I admit that I am not a Techie whereas you are and have often come-in with good advice to questions which I have posed in the Techology section of AB. Consequently I am ill-equipped (on a friendly basis) to argue matters with you.

It is the case that folk become satisfied with the Browser to which they are accustomed and a lot of ABers are happy with Internet explorer which I consider to be rubbish. I like Firefox and the whole purpose of my OP was to draw attention to the fact that Firefox has been up-dated and does not appear to have any compatibility problems with AB; which could not be said of FF12.

I hold the view that, whilst up-load speeds to a site may involve a saving of a few seconds, it is what happens from there on that matters and I am finding nothing then to choose between Google or FF.
