A friend has just bought the above. Its second hand but less than 6 months old. It says on the box that you can pause live tv but we cant find the pause button on the remote. Can anyone help?

Sorry but I think you are mistaken about this functionality. I've read the spec and the manual, twice, and can see no method by which this TV can pause live TV, it has no recording capabilities or hard disk built in - which are needed to be able to do that.

If you bought it specifically for this function then suggest you go back to the seller, they've mis-led you. If you Google your question then you'll see many people have read this on the box, only to find out it's not actually true!!

Thanks LCDMAN. It was not specifically bought for this function so no great loss but surely its against the law then to advertise a pause function on the box when it clearly cant? If its bought new from a shop I think id be tempted to go to trading standards.

Some TVs have a "freeze/unfreeze" function (labelled "hold" on remote). It's not a true "pause live TV" function because when unfrozen, the picture reverts to actual broadcast and does not resume at the point you "froze" it at.
