After totting up almost a full memory due to my wife recording 3 weeks of Emmerdale and Coronation Street, the emory available now shows only 54%. This is even though all the recordings have been viewed and deleted. Where has my other 46% gone? And how do I get it back? Thanks in anticipation.

try doing the reboot thing. Disconnect the box from the mains and wait two minutes then remove the viewing card and plug the box back in. wait another two minutes for the box to reboot then turn it on and put the card in when it is asked for. let it carry on rebooting then check the memory

Thanks Woolfgang. I will do that. Don't really know why I am bothering as we do not need a lot of memory. It is just irritating!
that suggestion doesn't sound right to me but then I haven't had sky for a couple of years.
