Afternoon,

I'm in need of a Windows 7 buff.

Increasingly I find myself using keyboard shortcuts to navigate around the various functions of Win7. Yet there are some things I cannot do without recourse to the trackpad/mouse.

NOTE: This following request could be considered really quite lazy! Please indulge me for a moment!

I'm currently using Zune as my main music application and would like to be able to skip a track or stop play while using another application. For example I would like to be working on something in Word with Zune playing the background - a song comes on I want to skip, I press something like Fn+] to skip the track.

There are various other functions I'd like to assign to some kind of "global" shortcut, but the above is a good example.

Is anyone aware of a elegant way of doing this?

Have you tried something like this?

I haven't experimented to see if will active an app running the background as well as launch it but, if it does, it will mean that you will need just one extra keystroke to bring Zune to the front...

Yes and no. I do use those shortcuts when zune is the active windows, but I'm after a way of effecting a non-active window.

Not even sure if it is possible to be honest?
I'm not tech-savvy enough to really get all this, but is the following any help?

Oi, Mark - enough with the good stuff! I'm trying for my "Nerd" & "OBN" badges :-)

I'm going to have to be less lazy aren't I?
