The 200mg Ibuprofen is also worth considering, though it lacks something in connectivity and video capabilities

sorry i thought a tablet was an IPAD
I prefer the smaller 7" screens 'arry. The Google Nexus 7 is excellent. Very fast for everything especially gaming and films.
All the Apps most people would ever want.
Using the Kindle app, reading is as good if not better than the Kindle.
I don't store much on mine, so the 1gb is good value at £159
Conne...an Ipad is a tablet, but a tablet is not necessarily an IPad..;-)
I've cancelled my pre-order for the Fire HD since I discovered that it comes with built-in adverts (apparently, US buyers have the option to pay $15 to turn off the ads., but not UK buyers).

The Blackberry Playbook is incredible value at £130 for the 64GB version. If you Google for reviews, make sure that they are for the current version which is a vast improvement on the original.

More expensive, but much more versatile than either of those, though, is the Google Nexus.

That's what I understood - a tablet is a type of hand held computer, and iPad is a trade name.

I'm interested in the question as I'm itching for an iPad but don't know if it would be the best style for me. I want to email, access the internet, play the odd game....
LOL.....
LOL @ builder, nice one.
The ipad is a great machine and they are releasing an ipad mini at the end of this month, there are a lot of tablets out there, I think the nexus 7 is a good tablet as well. I suppose it depends on your uses.

not sure about the kindle fire, I use the kindle app which pretty much negates the need for a dedicated kindle reader. Personally I would go to currys or pc world and have a play with the tablets and see which one floats your boat x
Samsung Galaxy Tablet with the jelly bean OS.

Microsoft tablets are being released next month, using Windows 8.
:o)))

...Boxers .... if you need email, internet etc, then that's mostly what I use the Nexus 7 for. Have a look at the video on the Google Play site.
It comes with voice recognition too, so you can shout at it. All technology should be supplied with the means to give vent to frustration ;o)
what kind of app store does microsoft use?
