My phone has a forward facing camera so that I can take what's called a self-portrait.

I don't seem to be able to use it as a web cam so that I can Skype my daughter when she is way and see her as well as hear her.

Is this possible and how do I do it? TIA.

I think your daughter will also have to be using a Samsung Galaxy.
Mr. Pooka says first make sure you have the current version of Skype and make sure the settings are set for front facing camera. Then you should be ok it doesn't matter what your daughter uses - a pc or laptop or phone.

Thanks guys. I'd given up hope of an answer. I'll check my settings and make sure I've got the newest version of Skype.

She was using her partner's IPhone which worked fine when I was on my laptop. Just couldn't get my phone to accept a video call. Cheers.
Make sure you're on the wifi as well - some apps have a built in way of stopping you using your data for videocalls (as it may be expensive).
