emails question.
I have a laptop and a desktop PC.
If I access emails (Outlook Express) from my laptop then later on open OE on my desktop PC, the earlier emails, the ones I opened on the laptop, aren't there. Is this normal ? If not, what can I do about it ?
Cheers.

Pick the time to leave a copy of the messages on the server that suits you. a week would be a good starting point though.

Yes it's normal, once you've downloaded them on one computer they are deleted from the server so they are not available to download on the second computer.
You can set OE on both computers not to delete the mails from the server for a period of time and then as long as you check on the other machine within that period you'll get them on both.

Yes.... probably an exchange server* where the mails are kept on the server and your computers and phone just access your mailbox on the server. Derek is using his ISPs mail server via POP3 which is a protocol that downloads the mails onto the first device that connects and then deletes the mails from the server by default.
*you might not have an exchange server, which is Microsofts email server. other mail servers support IMAP instead of POP3, which also works the same way as your's does.
